Cost is $350 per person, minimum of 2 persons required and the helicopter flight is weather dependant
Alpine ConneXions will drop you at the Aspiring Helicopters hangar on the way to Mt Aspiring National Park. You will check in to the office, meet your pilot and board your helicopter for a scenic flight over the Harris Mountains, taking in the tussock covered hills, deep valleys carved by glaciers and remote snow capped peaks.
The helicopter will make a landing on the Isobel Glacier at 7000ft/2,300m for 360 degree views of the spectacular Southern Alps and Mt Aspiring, the pinnacle of the Park. After taking some stunning photos and making angels in the snow you will be whisked off the glacier and down the Matukituki Valley to the Raspberry Flat carpark where the Rob Roy Glacier walk starts. Allow about 30min for your flight and landing.
We will collect you from the Raspberry Flat carpark at the end of the day. The total amount for the flight and the return bus transfer is $430 per person. If the weather is not suitable for the helicopter flight you will be taken to the start of the walk by bus.
